AI Ready Parents
Parents & Families

Helping your family navigate AI with confidence.

AI is changing how young people learn, think and create—and reshaping the future of work and society. Discover practical guidance, opportunities and support to help your child develop the judgment, skills and habits to thrive in the world ahead.

Parent guidance

You don't need to be an AI expert to guide your child.

You already have one of the most powerful ways to prepare your child for an AI-powered world: conversation. By asking questions, listening, and exploring what’s true, fair, and right, you can help strengthen their critical thinking and moral compass. You don’t need to master AI to begin. Start with these three questions.

1

“Show me something cool you did with AI this week.”

START WITH CURIOSITY

Take a genuine interest in what your child is exploring. Ask what they created, what surprised them, and why they chose to use AI. Listen before offering advice.

2

“How did you decide what to trust or figure out yourself?”

STRENGTHEN CRITICAL THINKING

Explore what they questioned, checked or decided independently. Help them recognize when AI supports their thinking—and when it might be doing too much for them.

3

“How might someone else feel about what you created or shared?”

DEVELOP A MORAL COMPASS

Talk about respect, privacy and the impact of their choices. For example, would a friend feel comfortable with an AI-generated image of themselves? Help your child consider others before creating or sharing.
